Saw two with two tree sparrows.
28 May another in same place in front of
school. Again could not collect
it.
Barrow, Alaska
29 May One feeding in refuse near wash hall.
Collected 2 on the above place.
4 June Pintzega River, Cape Sabine, Alaska
Collected again with one shot, very muddled
it is usually 2 shots for one bird, along
the first stream inland 1 mile. Dropped
one and stepped on it, very clumsy!
19 June Several singing along lagoon but I could not
see any willows for them.
21 June one sang outside the tent during the
night.
24 June Heard singing near lagoon
30 June 2 were seen on bluff behind Wolverine
Mt. with only the smallest of willows
in the area
5 July Pintzega River 16 miles SE Cape Sabine, Alaska
Comm in the Field-leaf willow.
6 July abundant along the north fork.
18 July Pintzega River, 7 mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska
Common on Tall willows.
