These birds were common today and singing
in the marsh area where we saw and
heard none yesterday. I believe they
arrived overnight
2 June They are abundant in the wet
low willow areas and always cold
whenever you come close. Have
never found a nest of this species.
9 June Found a nest with 6 eggs near T5-0.0
It was very well concealed in a mound in
sedge meadow.
20 June Found nest 3 eggs
21 June - - 4/5 young, well developed
gray down across river in sedge.
5 July Patnayzen River, 16 miles SE Cape Sabine, Alaska
A few seen in the wet meadows.
18 July Patnayzen River, 7mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska
A pair in willows on the marsh.
30 July Patnayzen River, Cape Sabine, Alaska
One came into camp and fed.
