CHILD 1957 TREE SPARROW Spizella arborea July 10 Uniat, Alaska This is one of the 3 most common birds here being found in the willow thickets. Young birds are out of the nest. Some singing heard. July 11 A juvenile bird was taken back of camp this a.m. Aug 1 East Armalik, 110 mi SSE Barrow, Alaska This species and the Redpoll were the common species of the willows and like the Wagtail no adults were taken and only one possibly seen. The juveniles were in all stages of post-juvenile molt.
