Childs 1958 Emomphila algestris 6 July Pitmeza River 16 miles SE Cape Sabine Alaska Collected a young bird of species Sharent the slightest idea of an identification. It was seen along a rocky ridge at the top of a fair sized mountain 5-7 miles up the northfork of the Pitmeza River. It was associated with Longspurs but is larger. It may be a varied Wheatear as it wagged its tail and has outer tail feather, but there was no indication of the white cap patch. 13 July On a farther ridge of the same mountain found another of these juvenile birds and Collected an adult Horned Lark feeding young.
