Childs 1958 Asio flammeus 31 May Pitweyen River, Cape Sabine, Alaska One flew up river accompanied by a small shore-bird. T Pete reported seeing a nest of this species in early July last year 4 miles S of village at "Nunnivak River". It contained 8 eggs. 1 June Pete saw one close by 1 mile upstream 2000 me flew north across the river, high. 4 June Saw one with Microstus in clans flying high to the NE from Owl Ridge. Perhaps there is a nest in that direction over the river. 10 June One flying over low marsh. 23 July Pitweyen River, 7mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska One seen several times daily over marsh
