Mary seen along the Mende and Otville
25 June Botwazer River, Cape Sabine, Alaska
4 nests w/2 eggs located on bar fairly close, cabin in flotsam
29 June Koranda and I found 6 nests located as follows:
- 30 - - 22 - - 17 - - 40 - - 28 -

The nests were located on the lagoon side of
the beach slightly below the highest point and
in the lee of rocks or flotsam.
4 July West of cabin along coast watched several
terns hunting. One caught a fish and flew
to beach. It flew when I came along. The
fish was a ton cod at least 6" long.
31 July Present at spit.
8 Aug Same. Apparently nests were unsuccessful.
