Childs 1958 Sterna paradisaea 31 May Pitmezea River, Cape Sabine, Alaska 4 flew up river. 9 June [illegible] in iceoff river. 24 June Collected one along spit by lagoon 22 July Pitmezea River, 1 mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska 2 seen with Short-billed Gulls 29 July Pitmezea River, Cape Sabine, Alaska Quite numerous, say 50, on the sand spit. Shot on mountain and got an adult also. The mountain ladled on the island so I had to return to camp for the boat to get it. The adult landed at my feet. A long way took to the water at my approach and one adult dove & hit my head.
