June 18 Putnega River, Cape Sabine, Alaska
Flock of 15 overhead at camp.
June 19 Same fishing down river.
20 June may " "
10 July 4 dive. Landed me at Phile's Creek although the area
did not appear good for nesting.
16 July We found one downy young about 6-8" long
or spit. Plumage just starting to break
coming. It was rolled over and over by wind
but finally squatted behind a rock.
23 July Sittegeal River, 15 mi SE Cape Sabine, Alaska
One was seen fishing at the main
tributary away to the east.
