June 10 Point Barrow, Alaska
Two flew over the marsh near the first ridge about
1700 this evening, apparently the first arrivals.
June 13 They were present in numbers in the marsh south of
first ridge, arriving in numbers with the red phalaropes
and others
June 14 A pair lit on a snow hummock on the marsh in the p.m
June 16 8 in a flock over the marsh
June 25 Group of 5 over marsh trumpet very noisy
June 28 Found one dead in the marsh in good condition
June 29 A couple along spit from the point
July 7 Rose brought back 6 from the point, some still in winter
plumage; others had breed patches.
