K Pearson 1950 and had in it one banded f, which he left there (161773). Looked in all the Actue Drive tunnels but no bats. Upper-tunnel was 60° as it is in summer. After dark we drove to the Maholita hines. Saw a Dipodomys (?), deer, + jack rabbits on the road. Nothing in the Knoxville tunnel at about 7 PM. After supper I looked in a few tunnels - Mangaitu (2 trapd ff), 20-house hole (one cave had 2 flying bats that escaped, another had 2 f, 1 m) and kept all the bats in the car until morning. The temp. got down to 44° F during the night. Clear, full moon. A survey of all tunnels in the morning brought in only 80s + 8 ff.
