July 24, 1969 4pm ENG Pearson Dept Lima, Peru Spent the day in Lima - shopping for a variety of things and doing odd errands. OP got a scale to weigh Tullahoma corn, and we made some plans with the Davises about this week-end's trip to the mountains. Dr. Lon Sarmiento and Mrs. Inacebo dropped in on the Davises, as did also Manuel Plegz and his movie, Isabel. July 25, 1969 4pm ENG Pearson Dept Lima, Peru Carl, OP and I spent the day at the field - doing a few more micro-meteorological counts, and weighing dead and alive Tullahoma corn. They walked up the road due to see close up the Tullahoma sign which an Indian told me had been made in 1946. Then back to Pepin Team to wash + get ready for the morning's take-off. July 26, 1969 - Pomacocha 4200m Dept Junior Up at 5 and on the road by 5:30. Met the Davis car with Plegz at Chosica and drove up the mountain together. Arrived at Pomacocha in time for a late lunch at the lodge built by the Pomacocha Rod & Gun Club. The lodge has 3 bedrooms with 2 double-decker beds in each, + 2 baths. The main room has a lovely large fireplace, and a 12' wide porch runs around two sides to make a nice
