Palmer 1937 Itinerary Ontario, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Jan 6th. This A.M. drove from Banning back through Beaumont & Jackrabbit Trail to my traps at: San Jacinto Val., 5 mi. CNE Lakeview, 1500 ft., Riverside Co., Calif. 13 sets of Macabee gopher traps had caught 9 Thomomys bottae during the night. In 40 gov.-size mouse traps caught 24 mammals of the following species: Dipodomys merriami, 1♀; Dipodomys agilis, 10 (5♂, 5♀); Reithrodontomys megalotis, 1♀; Peromyscus eremicus (or trui?), 7 (4♂, 3♀); P. maniculatus, 5 (3♂, 2♀). Returned to Ontario via Moreno, Markfield, Box Springs, and Riverside.
