17 Western? Flycatcher - One seen in
in cottonwoods along the stream. Identification uncertain
18. Cliff Swallow - Common around
the sandstone cliffs, the barn at Jones
Ranch and flying about over the
stream
19. Violet-green Swallow - A few seen
flying over the creek.
20. California Jay - Fairly common in
cottonwoods along the stream and
in the chaparral south of camp.
21 Raven - Several seen flying over
high up generally in the early morning
4-5 A.M. & in the evening 6-7 P.M.
22. Plain Titmouse - Common in the
blue oaks and some in chaparral
and the cottonwoods along the creek.
23. Busk-Tit - A few flocks seen
in the chaparral south of camp,
in the junipers or in blue oaks
around camp.
24. Slender-billed Nutcrack - Not
common in the blue oaks. Most of those
seen were in the large blue oak at camp.
25 Whew-Tit - Fairly common in the
manganita, canothus, scrub oak,
