as far as I could see it. It seemed
to be leading for lower country.
20. Plain Titmouse- Common in
conifers less so in mixed chaparral
and conifers.
21 Brush-Fit.-Several flocks
seen for the most part in chaparral
but might be found in almost any
mixture a variety of bushes and trees.
22 Slender Billed Muthath- Confined
to the conifers. Rather rare generally
fairly gyps.
23 Wood-Fit- Common in chappar-
nal. One of the most abundant of

24 Bewick Wren - Abundant in
the dense chaparral. "Squeeking"
rarely failed to bring forth several of
these birds.
25 Calif. Thrasher- Rare in the
