Flicker - A few (5 or 6) seen in the conifers or mixed conifers and chaparral. 13. Ash-throated Flycatcher - Fairly common in conifers and mixed conifers and chaparral. 14. Black Phoebe - Johnson saw one that kept traveling up the creek. Apparently just "passing through" 15. Olive-sided Flycatcher - seen fairly regularly in the conifers where they seem to prefer perching on the tip of the leaders. 16. Wood Pewee - not common in the conifers. 17. Western Flycatcher. One taken in a narrow very brushy gulch perched about 3 ft. above a small creek. 18. Calif. Jay - Common in chaparral, mixed chaparral and conifers, and conifers. T
