Usually in flocks of from 10-25. 49. Lawrence Goldfinch - Abundant in willows along the creek through the grainfield. Often perched on fences approx. in the fields. Usually flocks of, 75-150+ 50 Spotted Towhee - Common in the chapparal and in dense brush (Wild Cherry; Amelanchier, Poison Oak) under Live Oaks in the moist canyons or gulches. 51. Brown Towhee - Common in chaparral and Blue Oak-Digger Pine association Less common in willows along the creek through the grainfield. 52. Lark Sparrow. Abundant in the grainfields and pasture lands. 53 Juncos - Fairly common in damp canyons or gulches usually in the Live Oaks or less commonly Digger Pines. 54. Chipping Sparrow - A few seen in chaparral, Live Oak, and willows along the creek. Seen now & then on open grassy hillides.
