cont'd. 40. Black-throated Gray Warbler - Two or
three seen in shady, moist canyons in
Live Oaks and Wild Cherry Thickets.
41. Western Meadowlark - A few seen in
grainfields and pasture land -
42. Bullock Oriole - Common in willows
along the stream. Also in Cottonwoods
near the house and now & then in
the large Valley Oaks.
43. Brewer Blackbird - Abundant
around barns, in willows along the
stream, in grainfields. Sometimes perched
in valley Oaks.
44. Western Tanager - Seen two or 3 times
in shady, damp canyons around the
live oaks and wild cherry Thickets.
45. Black-headed Grosbeak - Only 2 or 3
seen, but heard commonly in Live Oaks,
Valley Oaks and Cottonwoods.
46. Lazuli Bunting - Common in the
shady, moist canyons in Wild Cherry,
wild rose and Live Oak and in
willows along the stream. Several pairs
feeding young
everywhere
47. Linnet - Common except in the
Chaparral.
