Palmer 1935 Peromyscus eremicus Jumpa Mts, 850 ft, 6 3/4 mi. NW Riverside, Riverside Co. Calif. Aug. 15, 1935 Caught 2 (♂♀) in 40 gor. size mouse traps. Both taken under overhanging edge of large boulders in small wash by bushes of Salvia apiana and Salvia mellifera with few bushes of Artemisia californica. 1 mi. 21E Laguna Beach, 500 ft, Orange Co. Calif. Aug. 18, 1935 Caught 1♂ in 49 gor. size mouse traps. The specimen was caught in the bottom of a small gulch in a west facing hillsides. The ground here was covered with a thick growth 2-4 ft. high mainly of Artemisia californica and Eriogonum fasciculatum.
