Palmer 1935 Sorex hendersoni japigenus Potter Flat, 5000 ft., 12 mi. NW Happy Camp, Siskiyou Co., July 8, 1935 Calif. Caught a ? in 70 gor.-size mouse traps in the wet meadow. Taken in tall sedges about 4ft. from the stream in the narrow canyon where the stream flows out of the meadow to the East. Oat bait. July 9, 1935 Caught a ? in 75 gor.-size mouse traps in the wet meadow. Taken in tall sedges on fairly dry ground near the edge of the meadow. Nearby were small willows, Ranunculus and shooting stars (Dodecatheon). Oat bait. (Catup by D.K. Johnson).
