dipterous insects probably mosquitoes
hovering over a boggy spot at the edge
of the meadow. (about 6 P.M.)
In the evening found 1 Microtus mordax
and 1 Soex palustris in 67 gvo.-size mouse
traps in the wet meadow. Added 8 traps
to this line so it now has 75 traps.

July 9. In 75 traps in the meadow caught
1 Soex benderii, 3 Zapus pacificus,
2 Microtus mordax, 1 Clethrionomys mazama
and 8 Peromyscus maniculatus.
Look in all traps and prepared to
move.
