Palmer/1934 July 28 (cont.) Russell to a point on Peterson Creek, 7800 ft., Shoshone Mts., Lander Co., Nev. Here I shot one Ochotona princeps in a rock-slide. On the way back to camp found the skull of a S Odocoileus Lemionna and shot a House Wren. In The Traps on Peterson Creek, 6500 ft., Shoshone Mts., Lander Co., Nev. caught mammals of the following species: 6 Peromyscus maniculatus, 1 Peromyscus crinitus, 1 Neotoma lepida, 1 Callospermophil us lateralis, 1 Eutamias minimus and 1 Eutamias quadrivittatus. In The evening shot 3 Mephitics July 29 Went cow hunting early in The A.M. with Hall and Johnson on Peterson Creek, 7600 ft., Shoshone Mts., Lander Co., Nev. Here in a rock-slide shot one Ochotona princeps and 1 Eutamias quadrivittatus. Broke camp about 10 A.M. and drove via Peter- son Ranch, Eastgate, Westgate, Fallon, Hagen, and Fernley to Wadsworth where we camped about 1/4 mi. E of the town at a place designated as: Wadsworth, 4100 ft., Lyon Co., Nev. In P.M. drove with W.C. Russell and D.H. Johnson to a point 1 mi. SE Wadsworth, 4200 ft., Lyon Co., Nev. Here set 95 fox-sized mouse traps across a flat of deep sandy soil with some small dunes in Russian Thistle,
