Palmer 1934 July 2. 12 mi. S Yerington, 4600 ft., W.Walker R. Lyon Co., Nev. Shot one Long-tailed Chat in the Willows near camp. Shot one Sceloporus occidentalis on a rock. In the willows and Buffalo-bushes near camp saw Lazuli Bunting, Spotted Towhee, Linnet and Yellow Warblers. Saw many Mourning Doves flying overhead and perched in Cottonwood trees. In Cottonwood trees also saw Robins and an Oriole of some species. Flocks of Brewer and Red-winged Blackbirds flew over rather high in the air both mornings and evenings. Saw a Red-tailed Hawk flying low over the rocky hillside north of camp. Later saw a Buzzard about the same place which soared into the pass in the direction of Smith Valley. July 3. Heard a Song Sparrow singing early this morning in the willows across the stream from camp. Drove 1E from camp about 1/2 mi. with Ward Russell. In an alfalfa field saw Red-winged
