Itinerary
Two Springs to Drinkwater Spring & Ontario
Broke camp about 8 A.M. and drove back to where the gopher traps were set. Caught 3 in 10 traps at 3 mis.N Drinkwater Spr., T.17N. R.4E, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Also caught a Crotophytus widegensis Luc, which was put in a can and taken home alone. Turned around and drove back down the cañon toward Two Springs. In the cañon which is narrow and lined with fairly steep rocky walls, I caught a Sceloporus magisticus and in turning over a rock in its pursuit found a Colonyx variegatus. The Colonyx "squeeked" when picked up. Both of these were brought home alone.
From here drove via Leach Spring & Granite Well to Johannesburg where we turned south and continued on the way home via Adelanto, Cajon Pass Museum, Rialto, Fontana, Cucamonga to Ontario where we arrived about 2:30 P.M.
Mar.30 Bear Flat, approx. 6000 ft., San Gabriel Mts., San Bernardino Co., Calif.
Left Ontario about 9 A.M. and drove N via Upland and San Antonios Canyon &
