6 1/4 mi. E Ontario, 1025 ft., San Bernardino C., Calif.
Jan. 7 Caught 32 in 64 gor.-size mouse traps set along the top of a large sand dune which was somewhat overgrown with Rumex, Salsola (dead), and scattered bushes of Artemisia and Salvia apiana and on a flat below covered with a thick growth of Erodium and short grass with scattered clumps of small willows, Artemisia, Rhus trilobata and prickly pear cactus.
