Palmer 1934 Peromyscus eremicus. 2 mi. SE Norco, approx. 700 ft., Riverside Co., Calif. Dec. 27 Caught 3 in rocky outcrops of large rounded granite boulders on the low hills which were sparsely covered with Eriogonum, Artemisia and other low shrubs. (90 traps out). 1 mi. NW Warren Well, Morongo Valley, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dec. 28 Caught 4 in sixty traps. All were taken in rock outcrops of large rounded granite boulders at the lower edge of the hills. Plants were mainly Eriogonum and Ephedra scattered between the boulders, with a few bushes of Catclaw (Acacia greggii) and Junipera. Cottonwood Spp., 1 mi. W Old Woman Spp., San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dec. 29 Caught 3 (?) in 90 gov.-size mouse traps. All were taken on rather too level, sandy ground with scattered bushes of Coriella, Atriplex and Chenopodiaceae. Deer Canyon Wash, 4½ mi NE Upland, Saw 1550 ft., San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dec. 31 Caught 5 in 54 gov.-size mouse traps which were set on rather level sandy to rocky soil with rather thick, low chaparral of Lotus glabra, Salvia apiana, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum & Artemisia.
