Palmer 1934 Peromyscus californicus. Dor Can'on Wash, 4 1/2 mi. NE Upland, 1550 ft., San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dec. 31 Caught 3 = 2 M and 1 F, in 55 gov.-size mouse traps set in a wash with fairly Thick low chaparral 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 ft. high. Plants were: Lotus glaber, Salvia apiana, Adenostoma fasciculatum, Eriogonum fasciculatum; Artemisia and a few clumps of larger shrubs 5-10 ft. high - Prunus ilicifolia and Cercocarpus betulae folia . The soil here was mostly sandy loam with scattered waterworn boulders and sandy spots.
