Dec.22 Caught 1 in 30 gow-size mouse traps
set on a sand dune in an old peach
orchard. The only plants here were dead
Russian Thistle (Salsola kali). This
specimen was caught by the tail and
taken home alive but I escaped.

Dec.26 Caught three in traps set in small
runways in green foxtail grass (Hordeum)
4-10 inches high in the edge of a peach
orchard.

Caught 1 in 64 gow-size mouse traps.
This specimen was taken on a flat
area by a wash, covered with Erodium
and shortgrass with scattered willows
and prickly pear cactus.
