Palmer 1934 Itinerary Cottonwood Spgs, 1 mi. W Old Woman Spgs, San Bernardino Co., Calif. Dec. 28 Contd. About 4 P.M., set a line of 90 gow. size mouse traps in a line which ran largely over- across fine deep sand with scattered bushes. The line extended up the nearby hills across the "cinder" area then down and threw the wash and up again into the granite boulders and back across the sand to camp. Cottonwood Spring -> X B A Trap Line. Contour interval = approx. 10 ft. Dec. 29 Caught mammals of the following species in trap line: 4 Dipodomys deserti, 2 D. merriami, 3 Neotoma lepida, 5 Peromyscus crenicus?, 7 (Peromyscus) maniculatus in 90 mouse and 5 rat traps.
