Sept. 29, 1000 ft., 1/4 mi ENE Botanical Garden, Berkeley,
Alameda Co., Calif.
Caught 3 in 45 traps on a south facing
rather steep hillside. Two were taken
in dry grass, one in a well worn
runway, the other at the mouth of a
small hole about 1 1/2 in. in diameter.
The other was taken at the mouth
of a small burrow on dry bare
ground in a good sized space between
Artemisia bushes
