Palmer 1934 Peromyscus maniculatus Aug 13, 5 mi. E Ontasio, 1050 ft., San Bernardino Co., Calif. Caught 11 in 70 traps. These set on a large sand dune, about ½ mi long, and 50 ft wide which was rather thickly overgrown with Russian Thistle, sunflowers, and Squant Bush (Phus trilobata). Sept 29, 1000 ft., ¼ mi. ENE Botanical Garden of Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif. Caught 3 in 45 traps set on a rather steep south facing hillside covered with dry grass in areas between Artemisia, Baccharis, Phus diversifolia, Bush Lupine, Wild Blackberry and Willows.
