3 ft. above stream, opposite Bailey Station, Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley, Alameda Co., California.
One & taken in oat baited trap in tangle of blackberry, Equisetum and brake ferns, under small willow Tester enlarged.

900 ft., North Fork of Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
One & taken in oat baited trap in Microtus runway. Runway in open grassy meadow 60 ft from any brushy cover

900 ft., 1/4 mi E.N.E of Botanical Garden, Berkeley, Alameda Co., Calif.
Took one & in trap set under Artemesia on a rocky southwest facing slope which was rather steep.
Took two in traps set in Microtus runways in grass and sedges on southwest facing hillside with gradual slope. Quite a bit of brushy cover near - Poison oak, Artemesia, Bush Lupine and farther away wild blackberry.
