Palmer 1934 Dipodomys agilis agilis Mar 30 2 mi. East of Archibald Ave. on 4th St, Ghosti, San Bernardino Co., Calif. #28 Took one immature male in trap set on the high sandy mounds by the side of a dry wash. Trap was set under a "Tumbleweed" with oat bait. Cover nearby was a sparse growth of Baccharus - Mule-fat. Also took one adult male in trap set under Artemisia in the sandy bottom of the wash. This one was partly eaten by some animal. Mar 31. 2 mi. East of Archibald Ave. on 4th St, Ghosti, San Bernardino County, Calif. Took one adult & in a trap set on a low sandhill. The trap was placed between two large tumbleweeds. Apparently? They feed on the seeds of these dry bushes. June 18 4 mi. NE Claremont, 200 ft. Los Angeles Co., Calif. Caught one in 3 mouse traps + 1 rat trap. This one was taken in the rat trap which was set on a rather level bench at the base of the foothills. The trap was set in a rather open spot covered with sparse grass between Artemisia and white sage (Salvia apiana)
