2 mi. East of Archibald Ave. on 4th St.,
Guasti, San Bernardino Co., Calif. 34
The area trapped was a dry
wash about 50 ft across with
high sandy banks. In the
bottom of the wash was some
Artemesia; under this took one
Dipodomys a. agilis and one
Peromyscus maniculatus gambeli.
In the lower part of the banks
were several old burrows with
a diameter of about 2 1/2 inches.
Set 5 traps in these mouths -
took two Peromyscus maniculatus
gambeli. Set 4 traps under
Mule-jat (Bachana) on the top
of the sandy banks of the wash
and took two Peromyscus
maniculatus gambeli. Set one
trap in a patch of Rumex and
took one P. maniculatus gambeli.
Two traps were set in under
Tumbleweeds on the Sandy banks.
New took one immature Dipodomys?
agilis agilis.
