Palmer 1934 General Account. Mar 8 1/4 mi. N.E. of Botanical Garden, 800 ft., Strawberry Canyon, Berkeley Alameda Co., Calif. Started to set traps in Microtus runways in grassy hillside but decided it was better farther up the canyon after setting 3 traps. When I went to pick up these three, found that the first one set had in it a ? Microtus (#12) altho the trap had been set only a few minutes. Oat bait.
