Caught 17 in 70 traps set along the banks of an irrigation ditch in willows, wild rose and quaking aspen; in a boggy place, on dry adobe flat, and on gravelly ground in Artemisia, Atriplex, Chrysothamnus and Sarco-batus. July 25 Smiths Creek, 6000 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 7 in 40 traps set along a small stream in grassy places in wild rose, willow and aspen. July 26 Smiths Creek, 5800 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 8 in 32 traps baited with bacon and set along the banks of an irrigation ditch and in a bog for shrews. July 27 Peterson Creek, 7000 ft., Shoshone Mt., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 15 in 70 traps set across a flat in Artemisia and up a slope in Piñon and Artemisia to some rock outcrops [illegible]. July 28 Peterson Creek, 6200 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 6 in 34 traps set up a steep rocky hillside in Artemisia and Piñon.
