Caught one in 45 traps set along a small stream lined with willows, quaking aspens, grass and Artemisia. July 17 Caught one in 13 rat traps set in a rock slide. July 18 E. Walker P., 5050 ft., 2 mi. N.W. Morgans Ranch, Mineral Co., Nev. Caught 2 in 20 traps set across an old alfalfa field which had grown up to Russian Thistle. July 19 Caught 2 in 42 traps set up a sandy or gravelly slope in Artemisia, Ephedra, Chrysothamnus and Sarcobatus. July 21 Campbell Creek, 6900 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 8 in 50 traps set in Artemisia in the bottom of a canyon. July 22 Smiths Creek, 7100 ft. Lander Co., Nev. Caught 24 in 65 traps set up a slope from 7100 to 7500 ft. in Artemisia, Chryso-thamnus and Snowbrush from 1 to 3 ft. tall. A few were caught in the rocks. July 23 Smiths Creek, 6800 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 21 in 50 traps along a stream lined with quaking aspens and willows
