Palmer 1934. Peromyscus maniculatus June 28 2 mi. SW Pine Grove, 7250 ft., Mineral Co., Nevada. with 2 exceptions Caught 10 in 40 traps. All were taken on rather sandy soil with moderately thick covering of Artemisia and Chrysothamnus. Two were taken in rat traps in an old cabin. None were taken on a rocky ridge among Piñones. June 29 Caught 10 in 45 traps. All were taken in gently sloping or nearly level ground with Artemisia and Chrysothamnus July 8 3 mi. S Schurz, 4100 ft., Mineral Co., Nev. Caught one in 74 traps set on sandy, level ground with Chrysothamnus, Sarcobatus, Atriplex and Cheirapodium July 12 Lapov Canyon, 8900 ft., Mt. Grant, Mineral Co., Nev. Caught 24 in 75 traps set in Artemisia 1-2½ ft. high on sandy soil. Did not appear to be as common in the more open spots in the brushy cover. July 13 Caught 10 in 45 traps set across a low sandy hill with Artemisia and some Mountain Mahogany. Caught 2 in rat traps set in outcrops of large granite
