June 29 Remi SW Pine Grove, 7250 ft., Mineral Co., Nev.
Caught three in 45 traps. These were taken on the rather level floor of the canyon in openings between Artemisia and Chrysothamnus.
All had wild gooseberry seeds in the cheek pouches and one had some bits of green grass heads.
July 12 Lapow Canyon, 8900 ft., Mt. Grant, Mineral Co., Nev.
Caught 2 in 45 traps set in Artemisia across the sandy top of a low hill. Both were caught where the Artemisia was smaller and the plants farther apart.
July 13 Caught 2 in 45 traps set in Artemisia across the sandy top of a low hill. One had cheek pouches full of seed pods. There were 455 pods of some cruciferous plant which were about 1/2 inch long and 1/16 inch in diameter and 20 achenea of some species of Eriogonum.
July 22 Smiths Creek, 7500 ft., Lander Co., Nev.
Caught 3 in 65 traps. These were caught on a slope well up toward the top of a hill in Artemisia and Chrysothamnus mes 10" to 15" high.
