Palmer/1934 Onachomys torridus July 8 3 mi S Schurz, +100 ft., Mineral Co., Nev. Caught two in 74 traps set on sandy level soil with Chrysothamnus, Sarco- batus, Atriplex and Chenopodium The two caught were different color phases: one was grayish and the other reddish brown. July 31. 1/2 mi SE Wadsworth, +200 ft., Lyon Co., Nev. Caught 1 in 45 traps. The trap was set by the entrance to a small burrow about 1 1/2" in diameter in the bank of a dry wash. The surrounding area was fairly closely covered with Sarco- batus, Atriplex and Chenopodium.
