Palmer/1934
Neotoma cinerea
July 17 Cottonwood Creek, 7400 ft., Mt. Grant,
Mineral Co., Nev.
Caught two in traps set in a rock-slide
of good sized boulders. Most of the focus
indicated that the rats lived mainly
under the larger boulders and preferred
the upper and center parts of the rock-
past slide to the lower part and outedges.
July 23 Smiths Creek, 6800 ft., Lander Co., Nev.
Caught one in 50 traps. This one was
taken in a rock outcrop on a west
facing hillside in the PiƱones.
