Palmer 1934 Microtus mordsay July 17 Cottonwood Creek, 7400 ft., Mt. Grant, Minerals Co., New. Caught one in #50 traps set in the stream. This one was taken in a spot where there were grassy banks with Artemisia back of them. July 23 Smiths Creek, 6800 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught 3 in 50 traps. These were caught in a small system of well worn runways in grass on the banks of a dry stream which was lined with Quaking Aspen and Willow. July 24 Smiths Creek, 5800 ft., Lander Co., Nev. Caught two in 70 traps. These were taken in a boggy spot but there were no indications of runway systems.
