Traps contained 10 Dipodomys merriami,
1 Rattus intermedius, 4 Oryzomys
torridus, and 1 Neacomys javanint-
mus.
The Oryzomys were caught in the
sandy areas. The Rattus was caught
quite far away from anything but
small brush. It was captured in a
mouse trap. The traps had been dragged
50 feet from the spot where it was set.
Three mounds of Dipodomys deserti were
found last night and I set traps around
them, but this morning all the traps
were springing and empty. My plans
about the traps their tracks were
numerous and the sand had been
shoved up.
