Orx 1931 Meadow Valley, 21 mi. S Caliente, 3200 ft., Lincoln Co., Nev. 39 June 14, 1931 be found in the creek. Pipistrelles huspura very plentiful tonight, coming out just after sundown. They flew up and down the streams. Set out 72 traps tonight. The land is a transition area just before reaching the desert. Soft white sand is present in one spot. Gravelly red soil covered with a tall type of bush, placed at inter- vols, surrounds this region. Rocky clopes mark either side of the canyon. Saw 8 Turkey Vultures this P.M., 2 Red-Tailed Hawks, 4 Rock Sorens, sev- eral pairs of Swallows.
