Did not set any traps because of break- ing camp tomorrow. June 13, 1931 #207 Thomomys perpallidus - ♀ 176-52-25-5 2 emb. x 30 mm. #208 Sylvilagus nuttalli - ♂ 363-53-87-67 #209 Sylvilagus nuttalli - ♀ 358-49-87-65 mam. only. Left for Caliente at 12:40 P.M. Saw one Gray Fox from George Meffitt at Wells. Fox trapped last January in the valley. Meadow Valley, 21 mi. S Caliente, 3200 ft. June 14, 1931 Trut 21 miles south of Caliente to camp. Meadow Valley is just beginning to widen at this point. From Caliente to here it is just a narrow gorge with a small stream flowing through it. The only large vegetation is some Cottonwood Trees along the creek by camp. The hills are almost bare of flora, being a mass of red rock. Crenosporhus abundant, also very large Sealsorus. Along the creek Spade foot Lizards (young) are very numerous. Many of the young are still to
