Oct 1931 East slope Dist Mtwn, 6900 ft., Lincoln Co., Nevada. June 9, 1931 coaty. I scared it out a few feet again and then it began to eat some grass. I could not understand why it did not run away. The cavity was just a small hollow on the north side of a small clump of sage brush. The rocks had been scraped away, an irregularity area 6 x 9 inches. The back of the tail extended part way up the back. Saw 5 White-throated Swifts flying over the canyon. v #190 Peromyscus truei - ♀ wt. 35.5g 194-91-23-28 #191 Cynomops cyanocphalus - ♀ Skeleton #192 Cynomops cyanocphalus - ♂ Skeleton v #193 Peromyscus truei - ♀ wt. 34.8g 191-90-23-27 v #194 Peromyscus maniculatus ♂ wt. 13.8g. 163-69-21-19 Set out 33 mouse traps and left the 22 rat traps out that I previously set. Caught one gopher in one of the two sets that I had placed out this A.M. There was one chipmunk (Eutamias dorsalis) in the rat traps. Tonight, from dusk until we retired at 11 P.M., Big Brown Bats (Eptesicus fuscus) were plentiful. They were more abundant over the water tank at the spring than anyplace else.
