Oct 1931 South-west base of Groom Baldy, 7200 ft., Lincoln Co., Nevada June 1, 1931 #154 Eutamias dorsalis - ♂ wt. 49.5g. 201-80-30-19 #155 Neotoma intermedia desertorum - ♀ wt. 122g. 281-119-32-30 #156 Sylilagus nuttalli - ♂ wt. 287.4g. 263-41-62-58 4 embryos x #157 Perognathus parvus - ♀ wt. 23g. 112-90-24-8 19 mm. Traps contained: 1 Perognathus parvus, 1 Neotoma intermedia desertorum, 1 Peromyscus truei (cinnameus) 5 Peromyscus maniculatus sonorensis (7 inches) The Pocket Mouse (no. 157) was caught in open gravelly country, beneath a small bush. The wood rat (no. 155) was caught on top of a small group of rocks. The rock crevice was filled with sticks and stems. There were three openings, one on top of the rock crevice, and two lower down on the other side. Trees were numerous all about the nest and rocks. Saw a half-grown cottontail out on grass near camp feeding at 6:45 A.M. Climbed up to within 250 feet of the top of Groom Baldy this P.M. to set out gopher traps. Noted Chickadees, Mountain Bluebirds, Audubon Warblers, Clark's Nutcrackers, Ringou Jays, and Chipping Sparrows on route. Shot one of the latter. This Chipping Sparrow was perched quietly on the lower branch of a Pinyon. No other members of the species were
