Oxr 1931 9 miles W from Baldy, 5500 feet, Lincoln May 29, 1931 of valley. Limpets were the most abundant birds. Heard a Burrowing Owl, Coyote and Poor-will during the night. Packed camp this A.M. and moved to the SW base of Groom Baldy in the Timpanite Range. Many Pinyon Jays seen along road. SW base Groom Baldy, 7200 ft., Lincoln Co., Nevada Arrived in camp at 8:45 A.M. Camp is located on the lower SW slope of Groom Baldy. Willow Spring is the name of the site. Surrounding the spring is a carpet of short grass - appearing like a lawn. On the south side of this grassy area is a clump of willows. Surrounding this small association is sagebrush 2-3 feet in height. A few oaks are present in the immediate vicinity. Many pinyon pines are growing around the camp, being quite abundant a short ways farther up the mountain. Western Robins, Western Evening Grosbeaks, Lazuli Buntings, Golden Pheas-
