Orr 1931 9 miles W Groom Baldy Peak, 5500 feet, Lincoln Co., Nevada May 29, 1931 #137 Perognathus parvus - male wt. 19g. 170-85-24-8.5 mm. #138 Onychomys torridus - female wt. 36.1g. 140-50-20-16 4 embryos x 10 mm removed to private collection of R.T. Orr #139 Dipodomys leucipes - female wt. 64.3g. 270-150-41.5-11 2 embryos x 10 mm. #140 Perognathus panaminticus - female wt. 7.8g 130-73-19-6.8 mm. Left Oak Spring camp yesterday afternoon and travelled northeast to the northern part of Emigrant Valley. Made camp and set out a trap line (63) to the west of camp. Saw a cottontail (Sylvilagus nuttalli) run across the flat open sage brush country around sunset time. This 9 A.M. the 63 traps contained only: 1 Perognathus parvus, 1 Perognathus panaminticus, 1 Dipodomys leucipes, and 1 Onychomys torridus. One trap was gone and several others sprung. Found nest of a Desert Sparrow. Built me foot from the ground in a small clump of sagebrush and cholla. Nest was composed of small stems and fibers of plants. Dimensions: length, 2 1/2 inches, width 2 inches, depth 1 1/2 inches. Contained 3 eggs, white in coloration. Elevation of camp somewhat higher than floor
