Orr 1932 Glidden Lakes, 5700 ft., Kootenai Co., Idaho. July 22, 1932 out 60 traps along the meadow and stream. One Zapus was seen at 5:45 p.m. in the meadow among the Carex and Salix. Miller saw another Zapus in mid-morning among some Blueberries. One Olive-sided Flycatcher was heard this a.m., but aside from this no other Flycatcher was heard during the day. Crossbills, Chipping Sparrows, Hermit Wrens were also seen today. Blanchard shot 3 juv. juncos and Miller 5 juv., but no adults were seen or heard. The day was quite warm. July 23, 1932 The following animals were found in the traps: 1 Microtulus mordax, 3 Zapus princeps, 1 Sorex, (Peromyscus maniculatus, and 1 Microtus richardsoni. The Microtus richardsoni was taken in a runway among the cross grass in a swampy place next to some willows along the creek. The runway was very narrow, averaging about 1" across, for such a large mouse. At 6:00 p.m. I went up the canyon to Lower Glidden Lake and climbed up on the west slope to some rock slides. Conies were quite abundant everywhere along the talus slope. They were not very active, however, until the sun came over the ridge. Collected three during a few minutes hunting. Up in the same rock slides Callospermophilus were present and Eutamias ruficaudus were about the edge foraging upon some low-bushes. Shot a Citellus columbianus on the edge of the same slide that the conies were taken from,
