Orr 1932 5mi. SE Millett P.O., Nye Co., Nev. June 7, 1932 This a.m. I made a round of the nests that I knew of to the east of camp. Visited 3 Red-wing Blackbird nests, two of them with young and a third with eggs, at spring 1/4 mi NE of here. I then went down to NW end of flooded meadows and found the young magpies leaving the nest that I found them in last week. From there I went SE to the pond 1 mi. E of cabin and examined the 5 Blackbird nests there. All of them had hatched, some well feathered young being found. Two other Red-wing nests 1/4 mile farther SE were seen, the young being hatched. The Meadow Lark nest found on May 30th had been destroyed. Another was found with 5 eggs in it 120 yard E of the destroyed one. The Savannah Sparrow nest contained 4 young which will be ready to leave the nest in several days. The Brewer Blackbird nest found with 6 eggs in it in brush along side of spring 1/4 mi. E of here was in same condition. Song Sparrow nest found 290 yard NE of cabin at base of wild rose bush this a.m. Did not contain any eggs yet. Went over to a pond that we saw from the mountains the other day. It is about 1 1/2 mi SE of here, being due E of Redger's house. Result largely of flood water from the mountains. There are no permanent water plants present. In the pond
